A Brandy Snifter Inspired by a Legend.
By World War II, the bulldog took center stage as the symbol of British tenacity. With his jowly face and portly figure, Churchill did slightly resemble a bulldog – best remembered for successfully leading Britain through the war, and one of the defining figures of the 20th century. He once asserted that “hot baths, cold Champagne, new peas, and old brandy” were the four most important things in life.
In 1941, Churchill decamped with his staff to the White House in Washington DC. for talks with President Roosevelt. The two men would sit up into the small hours sipping Cognac and smoking cigars. The White House staff called these nocturnal sessions “Winston Hours.”
Churchill always enjoyed the soothing powers of the legendary spirit, and this extraordinary Cognac Snifter commemorates his extraordinary life. The bulbous, faceted globe is exquisitely crafted in the finest European crystal, shaped for drinkers to cup the bottom and warm the brandy with one hand, and ultimately designed to enhance the sipping experience.
Offered is a Gift Box of 2 Winston Churchill “British Bulldog” 1941 Crystal Cognac Snifters, for keeping or giving.
