The Couple Who Taught America How to Drink.

Nick and Nora Charles are the glamorous cocktail-swilling duo of Dashiell Hammett's The Thin Man.Set during late December 1932 before the repeal of Prohibition in 1933, Hammett's book is filled with allusions to New York speakeasies. The opening sentence begins: "I was leaning against the bar in a speakeasy on Fifty-second Street, waiting for Nora to finish her Christmas shopping... That speakeasy was the 21 Club at 21 West 52nd Street.

Inspired by New York speakeasies of the Prohibition era, these fanciful coupes are designed both for aesthetics and functionality.  Each glass holds just under 6 ounces, smartly on the small side. True to classic Nick Nora style and crafted with decoratively-etched curved bowl and extra thick glass to ensure that drinks both stay cold until the last drop. The Nick & Nora 1934 New York Cocktail Coupe Glass is excellent for dinner parties or any occasion where glamour is requested.
